Synopsis

The twin sisters Isolya and Elowyn are forced into a mismatched marriage by a fabricated royal edict from King Leontis. Elowyn, who was supposed to be queen, is sent north to wed General Caspar, while battle‑hungry Isolya ascends the throne as queen. Exchanging tokens, they head to their respective battlefields.

In the palace, Isolya navigates court intrigue with a military mindset. Snubbed by the king on their wedding night, she maps palace defences and outwits favoured concubine Celeste.
